June 7th the Spring meeting was held at Falls Park Conservation Building in Pendleton. There were 8 clubs from the district that were represented. Director Joyce Bulington (pictured above) gave out the Awards that clubs in the district were awarded at this year's Annual State Convention.

After a pitch-in lunch by members we had some lively discussion on the plans for hosting the 2006 State Convention. It will be held in Anderson IN at the Holiday Inn. All chairmanships were filled and everyone was excited about the plans that were under way so far. The Chairman for the convention will be Joyce Bulington and her co-chairs are: Ellen Elliott and Judy Fornshell.

Since this will be the 75th Annual State Convention "party" themes seem to abound. We will also be holding a State Flower Show at this convention. Katrina Vollmer will be the Chairman of the Flower Show and will also write the Schedule for it.

All in all it was a wonderful day, meeting with old and new friends, having wonderful food and working out the first of the plans for next year's convention. We all plan for it to be a fun filled convention with lots of surprises for everyone.
